OPPORTUNITY:

H.Y. Engineering Ltd. is seeking a permanent part-time Receptionist to join our Surrey office. This position is approximately 25 hours per week, working daytime hours (9:00am–2:00pm or 10:00am–3:00pm), Monday to Friday.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional office environment and thrives in a client-facing role. This position requires the successful candidate to work on-site at our Surrey office during scheduled daytime hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer and transfer calls using Microsoft Teams
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages
  • Process client payments (mail, in-person, and phone)
  • Perform general administrative duties (scanning, filing, document processing)
  • Maintain boardrooms and common office areas
  • Assist with meetings and company events as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Professional, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Business casual workplace

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Starting wage: $22.00 per hour with consideration given to experience and qualifications.
  • Extended health and dental benefits for employees working 24+ hours per week
  • Company programs including volunteer initiatives and referral incentives
