The Partners and staff at H.Y. Engineering and H.Y. Surveying would like to announce the retirement of Roman Dypchey, A.Sc.T., Manager of Projects & Engineering Operations. Roman joined H.Y. Engineering in 2005 and became a Principal with the firm in 2006. With retirement planned for this year, Roman stepped down as a Principal in 2020, and since then has focused on managing projects and the engineering operations.

With a career spanning 45 years, (16 of those at H.Y. Engineering), Roman has worked on countless projects throughout Metro Vancouver and is well known in the land development community. He is a very significant asset of the firm as his quick thinking and conflict resolution have been invaluable over the years.

Roman has a wealth of knowledge that he has been able to share with not only the junior and senior staff at H.Y. Engineering, but also with the Partnership group who continue to learn from him and hope to emulate his amazing work ethic and dedication to the company.

Everyone at H.Y. Engineering will miss Roman dearly and wish him all the best in this next chapter of life, which will likely include spending time with the grandkids and getting caught up with his gardening.
