We remain in operation while following the latest Health Authority, Provincial and Federal recommendations. We remain committed to maintaining the quality of service you have come to expect from H.Y. Engineering Ltd. Although this is a challenging time and we may encounter delays, we remain dedicated to meeting all of our project deadlines. During these extraordinary times, we are making changes to our operations to ensure the safety of our employees, clients, and community.
WORKING REMOTELY
Our office is currently closed to the public, with many of our staff working remotely. Mail is able to be delivered by post to our office. At this time, courier packages can be delivered to our office, however, they must be left on the table in the main foyer outside our office door. If further assistance is needed, you may knock on the door or ring the bell. In order to maintain social distancing policies and out of respect for our workers still in the office, we will be keeping courier deliverables to a minimum.
CONTACTING US
Our phones and e-mails remain in use. All staff have full access to our phones and e-mails from home. Please use our main phone number as you normally would, and our receptionist will direct your call to the appropriate person.
MEETINGS
Effective immediately, we are discontinuing all in-person meetings at our office. Meetings will be conducted by teleconference or web-based video conference.
SITE INSPECTIONS
Our policy regarding site inspections will be adjusted as required to meet the health officials’ recommendations. Our staff will only engage with the Contractors or authorized representative and will avoid any contact with other site staff and contractors. For everyone’s protection, they have been instructed to avoid handshakes and practice social distancing as recommended by the health authorities. Our inspectors have also been directed to avoid site meetings in trailers where social distancing cannot be achieved.
MONITORING
We will continue to monitor our site inspection procedures. We will follow the guidance from the appropriate health officials and will revise our procedures as required.
